About the Program
This program prepares the students with knowledge, skills and aptitude for the development of software applications, which are in high demand nowadays. After completing the Associate Degree, students will be ready to work as application developers, and/or pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences.
Software development is a rapidly expanding field on a global level, and it provides the basis for alumni to grow as professionals in areas such as video game programming, cloud computing, mobile applications, cyber forensics and network security. Applications in these areas are tools to increase people’s productivity, and they are key to the development of a sustainable economy.
This Associate Degree provides an expansive component in basic sciences, mathematics, engineering and technology topics, as well as fundamentals on computer sciences.
