Accessible Education

Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico (UPPR) maintains a Non-Discrimination policy in its Educational Centers. In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, UPPR does not discriminate in its programs, services, or activities on the grounds of disability.

What is accessibility?

Educational accessibility refers to institutional actions that remove obstacles and barriers to create conditions that recognize and acknowledge each student’s right to individuality. It is also a requirement for all students and employees to lead an independent life and participate in society in an equal and inclusive manner.
The following are policies and guidelines for addressing requests for reasonable accommodations or modifications for students. They establish the processes and regulations for providing services to students with disabilities enrolled at Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico.
