Welcome to the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico Graduate School web page! The Institution started offering graduate studies in 1992 with a degree of Master in Engineering Management. With a highly qualified Graduate Faculty the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, the major Engineering Private Hispanic Institution in the United States, offers 12 programs leading to a variety of master's degrees. Enrollment at the Graduate School exceeds 700 active students per academic term.
At Polytechnic University, our agile institutional culture and professional approach for student services provide the advantage of offering programs that respond to the needs of Puerto Rico by becoming partners of students seeking professional and academic development at the same time. This approach ensures adequate preparation for the global economy that our country imposes on our future professional leaders.
The Graduate School Deanship integrates the services of all graduate programs offered to our students. The Graduate School consists of both administrative and academic units. These include the Deanship Office, Office of Graduate Affairs, the Graduate Programs Coordinators Team and the International Academic Alliances. The Graduate School unit reports to the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Graduate School plays an essential role promoting quality instructional programs and has the objective of developing state-of-the-art research.
Our students pursue their degrees in the fields of Engineering, Management, Geospatial Technology and Landscape Architecture. The Engineering Graduate Programs include 7 different areas leading to masters degrees. The degrees are awarded in the areas of Civil, Electrical, Computer, Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Manufacturing Competitiveness. The Management School has 3 different programs leading to masters degrees. The degrees are awarded in the areas of Business Administration, Environmental Management and Engineering Management. The Master in Geospatial Science and Technology is the newest graduate degree which started in the academic year 2012 - 2013. Finally, the Landscape Architecture School offers a Master degree in Landscape Architecture.
