  • Jardín Botánico y Cultural de Caguas – Along several years, the faculty and students of the Geomatic Science Department has been developing diverse, surveying, cartography and GIS projects utilizing the botanical garden as laboratory. Results from all the practices and research has been shared with the garden official for their knowledge and implementation.

Parque La Marquesa – This park is a huge rural property characterized for its steep topography and biological diversity. For the past three years, our students have been developing a grid on terrain, to further be monumented permanently by the park officers in order to have ground control for georeference surveys, and biological inventories.

Convento Hermanas del Buen Pastor – This convent is nestled in a rural property surrounded by hills and profuse vegetation. The sisters envisioned a passive recreational opportunity through the observation of the local flora and fauna. To support this project, a group of senior students, supervised by Professor Víctor Romero, developed surveys and plans as basis for proposed recreational facility.
