Faculty Position

Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico

The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department anticipates filling several tenure-track faculty positions at the ranks of assistant, associate, and professor in computer science and computer engineering. A PhD in computer sciences, computer engineering, or related field is preferred. However, candidates with course work completed towards a doctorate but not having completed their dissertation will also be considered. Specific areas of interest are software engineering, database, artificial intelligence, wireless networking, computer security, data mining, game programming, computer graphics, and computer architecture. Candidate chosen for serious consideration must have a commitment to graduate and undergraduate education and to building individual and collaborative research programs. We offer competitive salaries, as well as a friendly and cooperative environment. We offer degrees in electrical engineering, computer science at the undergraduate level and a master degree in electrical engineering. Degrees in BS and MS in computer engineering are being planned to be offered next year.
