Admissions Requirements
The Department Head upon recommendation of the Graduate Programs Director must approve admission to the program. All applicants must submit official transcripts from previous institutions or programs attended.
Transfer credits must be approved by the Department and must meet the institutional requirements already defined in the Graduate Catalog.
The program adopts the Polytechnic University guidelines for Combined Bachelor’s Master’s Degree Program by allowing students who have accumulated a minimum of 85% from their total credits towards the Bachelor degree to begin taking graduate courses from the Master in Computer Science (MSCS/MCS) programs.
A baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, with appropriate remedial courses, and at least a 2.8 Grade Point Average (from a maximum GPA of 4.0) is required for admission. The following prerequisite courses should be part of the candidate’s transcript record with a partial average of 3.0:
