Currently in the Turing Laboratory located in the L301 room there is the following equipment:

24 Dell Optiplex SX-270
Their hardware configuration is as follows:

  • Intel Pentium IV 3.2GHz HT processor
  • 1GB of DDR RAM
  • Fujitsu 60GB IDE Drive
  • Samsung CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive
  • Intel 865G Integrated Video Controller
  • Intel Gigabit Integrated Ethernet Controller
  • Intel 801EB AC'97 Integrated Audio Controller
  • 17 in Flat Panel Display

Hardware configuration:

  • 2 x Intel Xeon 2.4 Ghz HT processors
  • 1 GB of DDR RAM
  • 2 x 34GB SCSI Drives
  • 2 X Broadcom NetXtreme gigabit ethernet

Software installed:

  • Gentoo Linux
  • KDE
  • OpenOffice.org 1.1.3
  • GNU Compiler Utilities
  • Samba

Also there is a Pioneer 50 inch plasma screen and a Sony DVD Dream System sound system. Network connectivity is provided by two Dell PowerConnect 6024 gigabit switches. Printing capabilities are provided by an HP 3700 Color LaserJet Printer and a Dell 3100cn Color Laser printer. Two overhead projectors are also available; an Epson EMP-S1H and an Infocus XL DLP Projector.
