High Performance Computing
Introduction
The High Performance Computing Lab (HPC) is mainly sponsored with funds obtained from a proposal submitted to the DoD in 2003. These funds have been used to purchase a PC Cluster with 32 dual processors to support scientific and engineering research at graduate and undergraduate levels. The PI for this proposal is also Dr. Alfredo Cruz working with the Co-PI’s Dr. Edheberto Leal and Dr. Román López. In order to promote scientific research in High Performance Computing (HPC) in Puerto Rico our faculty and students, as well as professors/researchers from other universities and researchers from the industry can apply to use this equipment (PC Cluster) free of cost. All researchers interested in working in related areas can apply at the ECECS Department. User accounts will be assigned in Room L301 by the HPC lab supervisor upon approval by the PI, Dr. Cruz. |
