Intergraph Registered Research Laboratory

In the academic year 2005-06, the Geomatic Sciences Department was awarded with the designation as Intergraph Registered Research Laboratory. This designation is unique in the Caribbean and accompanies several benefits for Land Surveying and Mapping students. By signing the agreement, the Department received unlimited Geomedia Pro licenses to be installed in the laboratories plus free software for a period of a year for all the department’s students.

By signing this agreement, the Department made the obligation of submitting two research projects using Geomedia software in a period of two years. One technical paper was submitted during year 2006 and there is work on progress to develop the second paper expected to be submitted by the end of 2007.
